AFTER the Fourth of July the summer seems to head toward the Fall in an amazing fast pace! I love the Autumn Season but I wish that the summers would last a bit longer...of course without the humidity, and bugs!

It rained again this morning...sigh...but it's lush and green this summer.

This morning I was checking through our Flower Essence inventory and discovered I needed new Hosta essence. They are in full bloom, and the sun actually is peaking out between the clouds now that the rain stopped. Here are the properties of Hosta Essence; Hosta helps in finding happiness living in the here and now.  Hosta assists in feeling protected from fears both earthly and unearthly.  Hosta aids in finding a sense of well-being and happiness and peace. It has the ability to lift the spirit and produce a completely joyous and carefree attitude.  It is great for excessive worry.  If taken in a good mood it can even make you giddy or childlike silly. I do believe I'll add that to the blend I am taking this month. The flowers speak to each of us if we only listen.

Yesterday my son Remington , myself and the dogs went on a morning drive around our neighborhood, looking for Mullein and Bee Balm (Bergamot) to make tinctures. We found what we needed and also found Prairie Blazing Star to make more Flower Essence. This year we won't need to make many essence as last year we found over 10 new flowers to make essence with. We were gifted a new wild perennial of Sneezewort and it's blooming nicely. I made a second batch of essence yesterday. It is from the same family as Yarrow and the properties provide a little different aspect of shielding and protection. By the way, have you noticed all the Yarrow growing along the roadways and open fields. Here is another example of plants growing where they provide the need and use of their healing properties. Bull Thistle is growing just down the road all along the side for about a mile and we took the opportunity to make essence too.

I'll wrap this up today with a question...what have you noticed growing in your area that might provide the support and healing you can benefit from?

Summer Blessings,

Terri

The wild roses in our yard bloomed like crazy this year. Many trays were dried for tea blends.
