New Layer Chicks & Baby Bunnies!

We have four litters of kits so far and anticipate four more in early June. A quick count and we have approximately 30 kits so far. This year we will have more than usual to sell.

Last fall we purchased a new Silver Fox buck and originally, we named him Dude. During breeding we decided to change it to Jimmy John (J.J.)...yes, freaky fast and efficient!

We have two new does who came with names of Boogie and Lint. We have since renamed them to Betty (black) and Linda (grey). Linda produced one lovely harlequin colored kit which we have never raised this color before. This leads us to believe that Betty and Linda are a mixed breed of rabbit.

This year we bought laying chicks from Fleet Farm. The service was great and so easy to pick up and not go through the post office. We bought 20 total with four different breeds.

What a chilly morning again as we head out for more gardening. We plan on planting the potatoes and beans today.
